2007 BlackHawk & Binay Powwow In NYC

Many Black Indians Showed up to dance and celebrate. Each year many Black Indians come to this historical event It's entitled Pow wow on the Hudson.

Actress Irene Bedard and Denny performed and Chief Eaglefeather played the flute on a few of the songs. For those who do not know who she is, she is the voice of Disney's Pocahontas. Also been in over 40 movies and TV shows, such as Walker Texas ranger, Smoke Signals and many more.

Black Indians and Black Native Americans, Are Black Africans that are of Mixed Heritage. Mixed Blood, Black and Cherokee, Black and Apache, Black Choctaw, Black Chickasaws, Black Freedman, Black Indians and Native American mixed. African Indians of Mixed Heritage and were brought together by slavery, and other means. Today there are many Black Indians. And black native Americans. Mostly through Marriage and linked by ancestry. Black Indians and Black Native Americans and Natives with Black Ancestry live together on many of the Indian reservations. Some such are Cherokee Oklahoma, Shinnicock in South Hampton Long Island and other Indian reservations.
